Klopp: No Contact with Other Clubs and Not Intend Rest Used
Dortmund – Juergen Klopp has said he will leave Borussia Dortmund at the end of the season. Once gone, Klopp claims will not train for a year break –meski not know where the club will also train.
Klopp’s decision announced in a press conference on Wednesday (15/4) afternoon in Dortmund. At the press conference, the 47-year coach said that he was no longer the right coach for Dortmund.
Klopp himself who asked to withdraw from the team.
“I think that this is the right decision. This club deserves to be trained by the manager that is 100% right,” said Klopp, as reported by the BBC.
Klopp admitted, he did not feel bored. Therefore, a break for a year, just as the train made Pep Guardiola when leaving Barcelona– not an option.
However, he also said that he has not been associated with any club outside Dortmund.
“No, not because I was tired. There is no contact with other clubs, but I also do not intend to rest for a year,” he said.
Klopp had reportedly targeted by Arsenal and Manchester United –sebelum they chose Louis van Gaal. Later, Klopp reportedly targeted by Manchester City. The Citizens are expected to kick Manuel Pellegrini after performing sag towards the end of this season.
Dortmund itself has not told anyone Klopp replacement later. However, it was rumored that they will sign the former Mainz coach Thomas Tuchel.
